Just got a nice shipment of books from amazon.com: Liberty in Troubled Times by James Walsh and Good to Be King by Michael Badnarik. And unlike Metamorphosis, which I presume is a work of fiction, I will be reviewing these.
Good to Be King is the book on the U.S. Constitution that Libertarian presidential candidate Michael Badnarik wrote while on the campaign trail. I haven’t read it yet. I bought it because I watched his Constitution classes and wanted to know more, but never fear, I will read it and even if you never read this book, I’m sure I will have a lot of his insights to share with you.
Liberty in Troubled Times was recommended by Amazon. I checked it out and figured what the hell, this way I’ll get free shipping and maybe it’ll be interesting. I’ve actually read 37 pages of this book so far. Walsh takes a look at our post-9/11 society and presents libertarian solutions to today’s problems, which protect both our freedom and our security. At least that’s the premise. You’ll have to either buy it or wait for my full review, to see if he delivers.
Oh, did I mention I love the smell of new books?

You know, my telling you to read Kafka was just me being the same me that bought you Baudrillard for Christmas that one year. I *ADORE* the smell of new books so much it hurts me when I buy used books… I’m always afraid they’re going to have underlining, and they won’t smell right.

Yes, and when I bought you Harry Browne’s book the only thing you liked about it was the smell.
And I enjoyed and understood Baudrillard. Metamorphosis is supposed to be a parable about something, so I’m told, but I don’t see it. Maybe you can explain it to me?
