[...] And finally, Ohio secretary of state Ken Blackwell, who was proud to have delivered the 2004 election to Bush and mandated that the state use Diebold equipment in 2006, actually owns Diebold stock. Way back when, I was among the first to break the story of his gubernatorial bid. Filed under: Politics, Homeland Stupidity, Open Source [...]

[...] Ohio Republican Ken Blackwell, who I told you nearly a year ago would be running for governor, is stealing slogans from the Libertarian Party’s candidate, Bill Peirce. “I believe that government should give people the freedom to prosper,” said a recent e-mail from Blackwell’s campaign. As secretary of state, Blackwell boasted of “delivering” the 2004 election to George W. Bush. Filed under: Politics, Homeland Stupidity, Privacy [...]

I love it when Democrats complain of election fraud and voter intimidation. The tires slashed in Wisconsin was done by Democrats...in Democratic controlled Cuyahoga County and also in places like Milwaukee and Chicago, more people voted than were actually registered (113% voter turnout in Milwaukee alone)...the independant commision that studied the 2004 election found that there were 4 instances of vote fraud committed by Democrats to every one committed by Republicans. Democrat controlled groups like ACORN had operatives convicted of registering felons to vote (which is illegal in all but 4 states) and were also convicted of registering dead people, cartoon characters (Dick Tracy and Mary Poppins in Cleveland) and imaginary people with imaginary addresses. I guess they figure if they cry wolf enough people won't notice who is really responsible for the majority of the voter fraud and intimidation that goes on.

Don't be a sore winner. And pay closer attention. This guy ran the election. When it was challenged, he did everything he could to thwart, and when that failed, subvert the recount. This is why it's still in court, and why the Kerry campaign finally got involved. And he isn't the governor yet.

That's just one interpretation of what was said. One could also read that as the governor boasting of the campaigning that he had done on the President's behalf and that with that well-run campaign, he was sure the state would go for Bush, long before election day. Honestly, if you think the election was rigged - prove it. If you don't have any proof, let it go. Interpretations of the fund raising efforts of one politician do not a conspiracy theory prove.
