The 14th Amendment says, in part, “...nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”  It does not say “citizen.”  It says “person.”  There is a difference.

Although undocumented immigrants do not share ALL of the constitutional rights afforded U.S. citizens (such as the right to vote), they do have constitutional rights thanks to 14th Amendment.  Here are 2 quick examples:

#1 - In 1982, the Supreme Court held that illegal immigrants are constitutionally entitled to attend public primary and secondary schools.  It is unconstitutional to deny immigrants public education (at the primary and secondary levels) solely based upon their undocumented status.  The name of the case is Plyer v. Doe, 457 U.S. 202 (1982).

# 2 - In 1984, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that undocumented immigrants are considered employees under the National Labor Relations Act and are, therefore, protected against unfair labor practices.  This means they are entitled to minimum wage, overtime pay, participate in unions, etc.  [However, I concede there are restrictions on their right to receive back pay if they are wrongfully terminated].  The name of the case is Sure-Tan, Inc. v. NLRB, 467 U.S. 883 (1984).

My point is that the statement that illegal immigrants have “no constitutional rights” couldn’t be more inaccurate.  It always amazes me when people offer such strong opinions about matters on which they are clearly uninformed.  No one knows it all, but let’s at least try to learn a little before we start shooting off at the mouth!</description>

I agree with Al, &quot;This is a crime of treason in the time of war&quot;. WE ARE AT WAR people, wake up!!, and &lt;strong&gt;Treason is punishable by death!&lt;/strong&gt; I say we let the wetbacks cross over illegally then kill them. It&#039;s that simple. I&#039;m moving to Arizona soon and I for one will not put up with this!

I&#039;m also sick and tired of OUR taxes going towards translating everything into Spanish just to make it easier for Mexicans. Where&#039;s the incentive to learn to speak, read and write English? What&#039;s wrong with this picture?! It&#039;s time for us citizens to take a stand against this....NOW!!</description>
