Are you looking for that ever-elusive online application for a job at Wal-Mart? If so, you need to read this.
If you’re looking to apply for a job at Wal-Mart, I’ve got good news and bad news. First, the bad news.
If you’re trying to apply for a job as an associate at your local Wal-Mart or Sam’s Club store, you are simply going to have to visit the store and fill out an application in person. Even if it’s an hour long bus ride both ways. Sorry. But you’d have to do that every day anyway if you were hired, so don’t let it bother you too much. Just go on out, fill out the application, and then do your shopping. However, if you’re looking for a management-level position, you may find it listed at Wal-Mart’s online job listing.
The good news for people in northern California is that Walmart.com does accept applications online for work for the Web site. You’re pretty much going to have to live in the Bay Area, though. Wal-Mart does provide a free shuttle to and from the BART and Caltrain stations.
Or, if you’re interested in living in Bentonville, Ark., you can go work at headquarters, or some other field locations. Try the online job search here for these opportunities.
Updated: Wal-Mart now has an online job application for hourly positions at your local Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club locations.

That was a little cruel, writing the article in such a way the bit shown on the snippet makes it look like the guy’s site is actually offering applications to Walmart.
I mean, how many americans you know actually RTFA?
What I wonder is, how are people finding that site? Searching for “walmart online application” on MSN, Rojisan comes up #1. On Google it’s #2 or #3. These are indexing the COMMENTS however. Strange. Roj should start interviewing these people.
How many people qualified to work at Walmart would be able to handle filling out an online application? Wouldn’t that constitute overqualification?
Wal-Mart needs to let people fill out applications online instead of at the stroe because what ya’ll fail to realize is people don’t have transportation opportunies to get to the nearest Wal-Mart but it’s not even all that serious. Another reason ya’ll should let people fill out applications online is because it is a lot easier and they will have peace and privacy to do so. Thank you very much
I think that the argument about not having transportation to the store is a bogus one. Afterall, if someone’s actually going to be employed there, they’re going to need to have some type of dependable transportation.

Why are you keeping that type of things on this site. The bad words and all the anger. You know it would seam to me that you would try to get an online applaction put on this site so that people could find a job. There are so many people that need a job and most are good people. I was directed to this site while looking for an online application to a walmart distribution warehouse opening in my area. It actually pays very well and has great benefits. a $13/hour base wage plus benefits before any shift premiums etc in this area is unheard of for an unskilled job. The comments on this post do an excellent job of explaining why I’ve had so many problems with idiots working at Wal-Mart screwing things up for me. Of course, those were the ones that were smart enough to figure out how to apply. It’s also obvious that language skills aren’t emphasized in school these days; any time I start to feel inadequate or stupid, I can always read these comments and feel like a genius.

you need to go into a walmart store and fill out an application. there are no applications online. usually the computer (u cannot use your home computer) u need to use the computer walmart has inside of their store to apply. this computer is usually located in the back of the store near lay-a-way or the restrooms int he back

Yea the computer walmart application sucks bad. I applied last night, and after the damn computer there crashed 2 times, i finally got it completely filled out on the third try. took me an hour to do a 20 minute task. thats why they should accept online applications. But i was thinking, maybe they sync a security cam with u filling in your app and maybe they like to “see” who is applying.. just my 2 cents.

I would love to work for Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club even with their bad rap. I need the money. I could go down there, transferring over two buses and stand in line for application and then filling it out with all that noise and distraction. But it would leave me tense and angry.
Delaware’s Wal-Mart branch needs to have these appliacations or the state could simply publish a generic online job aspplication– one that could be submitted right then and there after completion. It would be far more benificial to everyone.
…and I can’t help but notice the lack of English proficiency from the majority of posters who are asking for jobs at Wal-Mart. They should know that this is satire.

how this isnt an application site for Walmart. If you wanna apply, go to the store. Trust me…the sun isn’t all that bad. Quite a few locations are open 24 hours. And the guy that posted his phone number…yeah. you get the “Certified dumb-ass award. Mhmm. I’ll tell you one thing though. Walmart SUCKS. Big time. I worked there for 6 months. I’m not saying that all walmart places are like this. but hey,
let’s be realistic about it. They aren’t all about you and your future and your family. toss that bullshit aside, and look at the true side of it. they are a buisness. they will pay you a penny for a thousand dollars worth of work. your health insurance don’t kick in for 6 months (just so they know you are qualified for it.) and if you get hurt like i did, they refuse to cover the medical bills. And you have supervisors that you wanna take into the dark truck trailor in dock 2 beat the shit out of. I was ran over by a pallet of frozen/dairy goods. on new years of 2005. well, it was december 29th but close e fucking nough. Anyways. The pallet ran me over because one of the guys was trying to show off for the new girl (in which he admitted to it) Even though i had asked him not to help me he did anyways and he pushed the pallet reeally fuckin fast. i hollered and so did everyone else for him to stop pushing it. all i know is that the pallet went up tipped and my left foot was in between the pallet jacks wheels. everyone stood there in shock like OMG! and after i yelled shit at them they got it off of me. now after i walked over to a stack of pallets and sat on them my supervisor (which was standing there when my foot got smooshed) cme over to me and asks me ” Do you think you can finish unloading the truck???” i wanted to punch him….oh so bad -_- ….anyways, the truck driver said that the particular pallet that nailed me wieged in at 4,000 some odd pounds. As pissed as I was, I worked for another half hour and went home. Hell, I couldnt feel my foot. the next day I went to thier little “ER” thing. US Healthworks??? yeah. the first lady was cool as shit, but the rest – nope. my first appointment i got her. she thought my foot was broken. so she wrapped it up for me and i went a few days later to the next appointment. they gave me 800 milligram ibproufens. the third appointment, they took x rays….they refused to let me see them. they still do to this day. I am currently in the process of getting them so that i can see if my foot was broken or fractured. Anyways, in ending this fucking book that I have just written for you, dont work there. yeah, they pay decent, but you put up with FAR too much bullshit and sexual and racial harrassment its not even funny. In the end..it burns you. and you end up all pissed like me! ^_^ woot! Now go…and be a happy today…..

The WalMart interview SUCKS! It is a script with 4 mutiple choice selections for each question. It is very impersonal focusing on negative situations versus the applicant’s positive qualities which could contribute to the company. The interviewers chosen are not qualified. If one should happen to make an alledged “wrong” response they gasp with horror. These people are the ones who need to be evaluated.
Human beings are individuals and cannot be dumped into one mold.
