This is a great example of response bias, a common cognitive bias found in statistical analysis. If you leave the response to a survey as optional, generally those with more extreme opinions respond in greater proportions than those with more moderate opinions. In this context our pool of subjects is, most likely, people searching for “target application” and finding this result. Of those people who came to the site, only the very stupid and illiterate posted a comment, since everyone who can read also wouldn’t waste time commenting on a corporate memo.

Compounding the dynamic further: those who shop, and or are willing to work, at Target are probably less intelligent than those who shop at smaller stores for a variety of reasons( education, geography, motha fucking ignorance) so an already skewed sample was even further biased
