Fifty years ago this week, a student confused the University of Texas into adopting a Satanic hand gesture, which has been used by Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, as well as many other high-profile public figures, much to the shock and consternation of people around the world.
“The year was 1955. We were coming up on the TCU game. We had to beat TCU in order to have a piece of the Southwest Conference Title. TCU had a really fine team. We had a really mediocre team. So, we were trying to make up in spirit what we lacked in football talent,” the head cheerleader Harley Clark, said. He’s the one that created the sign.
A couple of days before a scheduled pep rally at Gregory Stadium the idea of a hand signal began in the minds of two UT students.
“And I said listen. The Aggies have always had the Gig ‘em sign. I think it’s time for The University of Texas to have [its] own hand signal,” Harley said.
“A fellow student named Henry Pitts came up to me and said, ‘Harley look, if you do your hands like this, you can make your hand into the head of a longhorn,’” Clark said.
And that’s how the the Hook ‘em Horns hand signal was born. At the end of the pep rally of more than 3,000 students Clark introduced the sign to student body.
“They had to be instructed that evening to raise the little finger, raise the index finger. You can do it with both hands. And get them out front like this and that’s how you do it,” Clark said.
Clark announced the hand signal as the official sign of the Longhorns.
There was only one problem. He forgot to ask permission from the university and as Clark tells it the Dean of Students was furious.
“He says do you know what this means in Sicily? I said, ‘Dean, I don’t know hardly anything. I’m only 19!’” Clark said.
It was too late and the new tradition caught on. — News 8 Austin
In Sicily, much of Europe, and the rest of the world, it’s a gesture of allegiance to Satan. Not to be confused with a sign language gesture for “I love you,” in which the thumb is extended outward, in the Satanic gesture, the thumb is held over the two middle fingers.

EvenThe Onion reported on this last week.
In an emergency session Tuesday, members of the Supreme Metal Council strongly condemned the increasing use of the metal hand sign in lay society, claiming that its meaning has become perverted by overuse.
“The metal sign, or ’sign of the goat,’ has all but lost its impact as a token of respectful recognition for something truly ‘rocking’ or ‘metal,’” SMC president Terence “Geezer” Butler said. According to Butler, members are upset that their sacred gesture is being used to acknowledge and celebrate “favorable but clearly non-metal events.”
“We have all heard the reports of people using it to greet their in-laws, or after starting their lawn mowers with a single pull,” Butler said. “But recently it was brought to our attention that someone used the gesture in a Texas convenience store after snagging the last box of carrot cakes. This simply won’t do.” — The Onion
Personally I think it’s funny. Obviously it doesn’t matter to anyone in Austin, Texas, what the rest of the world thinks of Hook ‘em ‘Horns, or mano cornuto, or the sign of the goat. (Google’s too-literal translation says it’s the sign of the cuckold. That would be Satan, all right.)

er.. I meant the Universal ID, not RFID. Although they may want RFID tech in that Universal ID Card, too. Government sure seems to want to get their fingers into everything these days.

I’ve been saying for a while that the sheer volume of evil emanating from BushCo & friends suggests demonic possession. Consider that Shrub has been progressively invoking the Horsemen:
1) Death: Texas, execution capital of the free world
2) Conquest: Afghanistan, Iraq, still making threats
3) Pestilence: Still mounting up, but consider:
a) Gutting USDA meat and facility inspections
b) support of AIDS via attacks on contraception
c) gutting the NIH and CDC in face of avian flu etc
d) Those ex-treaties against WMD, bioweapons included
4) Famine: Also mounting up, but:
a) deregulating industrial farming, redefining “organic”
b) non- and anti-responses to global warming
c) scorched-earth approach to so-called “drug war”
I’m sure others can add to the correspondences, especially if you reach back to Reagan and Bush I for the roots of many current programs. (Remember Reagan telling kids to “drop a dime” on their parents?)
The scariest thing is, I’m not even Christian, barely know more than the populist version of RevStJohn, and even I can see this….

On the other hand (so to speak), I always thought that sign was traditionally used for *protection* against the Devil and his works….

It’s not just the University of Texas. The University of South Florida uses the same hand sign. (Our sports teams are each called “the Bulls”).

“I love you” deaf sign created by occultist Helen Keller. Another coincidence?

It is a sign of Molech or Baal as the early Hebrews referred to their early god.
Originally a mechanical bronze bull with a well stoked fire in it’s belly to which children were sacrificed alive. It has morphed today into a symbol of the Horned Owl but still to this day represents that early Hebrew god Molech. This occult worship of Molech now as the horned Owl with a ‘lake of fire’ representing the fiery ‘belly of the beast.’ Bohemian Grove in California is where sacrificial offerings are currently given every year attended by nearly every top politician and industry captain, mostly from the US since this is their capital now but also attended by numerous others from around the world where due to their control of global financial institutions their influence knows no bounds.
It isn’t satan they worship since satan is a christian fabrication, but a far older belief which demands human sacrifice. Since sacrificing humans by burning them alive has become somewhat discouraged, today they sacrifice our children on the battlefields of manufactured conflicts instead.
As the mossad’s logo specifies “kee betachbulot ta’ase lecha milchama” which loosely translated means ‘by covert deception we shall wage war.” They do this covertly while aligning and promoting themselves as pillars of the other more common religions as a means of gaining control over the adherents of those religions for purposes of manipulation.

We like links. Especially to more information.
That said, I expect that sort of motto from an intelligence service. For extra credit, compare and contrast it with the CIA’s motto.

Why do the people of “authority” continue to use this symbol especially in public? You would have to be living in a cave (and never come out) to not know what it largely represents. I am not too ignorant to realize that they try to appeal to everyone in some way in order to gain majoral popularity and votes, but come on… are they so desperate to gain this in a minority by using a symbol that has become so associated with evil? In my view, this only shows that they stand for the moment and not the majority. It’s another example of our leaders not having the courage to stand up for the good of our people, but they certainly have the cowardice to change their view based on who is in their presence at the time. Christian or not, Jesus Christ was a great man who stood his ground no matter what happened. His belief and determination was stronger than his fears; now there’s a man I would vote for! (Please note that I do not believe in religion and am not trying to persuade anyone, my thoughts here are based on morals and what could be good for all mankind through honest leadership of our nation)
