My new favorite news source, Sploid, tipped me off to this story out of John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. Two Transportation Security Administration screeners were arrested and charged with grand larceny, criminal possesion of stolen property, and official misconduct. But they may not be the only ones to go down.
The two screeners, Ronniki Ack and Yvette Reynolds, were allegedly caught red-handed using the stolen credit cards of victim William Canberry, who had left JFK for a trip to Key West, Fla.
According to WABC, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is executing search warrants and an investigation is ongoing.
The retired New York City Firefighter immediately cut his vacation short, worried and devastated by the loss.
William: “My identification from the fire department, my retirement badge — things I’ll never see again.”
The investigation into the theft at JFK turned up shocking surveillance photos.

But that isn’t all. WABC reports that it obtained an internal TSA memo that says certain screeners are kleptomaniacs. The TSA officially denies that theft among screeners is a problem.
