Back in '93 they said they don't cover damage from waves but was wondering if they had changed anything. I live on Lake Ontario in NY and I am required to obtain flood insurance due to a mortgage on the house. Since Lake Ontario has never overflowed since creation (I think), and the ONLY thing that will destroy my property is waves riding on top of high water levels in the spring why am I required to feed FEMA when they won't cover wave damage? I can’t seem to get a responce from FEMA on the following.
