Mais Google Chine va plus loin en censurant certains sites sur les grossesses dâ€™adolescents, lâ€™homosexualitÃ©, et mÃªme des serveurs entiers dâ€™universitÃ© amÃ©ricaines, sâ€™ils ont le malheur dâ€™hÃ©berger ne serait-ce quâ€™un petit site sur la secte Falun Gong qui effraie tellement le rÃ©gime communiste. Bref, Google arrÃªte aux frontiÃ¨res de lâ€™Empire du Milieu ses grandes dÃ©clarations de principe sur la libertÃ© de lâ€™information â€“ comme Microsoft ou Yahoo dâ€™ailleursâ€¦ â€¦ LÃ  oÃ¹ le sujet devient plus croustillant pour des membres de la communautÃ© du renseignement tels que Chuck ou moi-mÃªme, câ€™est que Google essaie de dÃ©velopper ses affaires avec le gouvernement fÃ©dÃ©ral des Etats-Unis. Pour lâ€™instant, Google nâ€™a rÃ©ussi quâ€™Ã  vendre pour $300 K de services au gouvernement fÃ©dÃ©ral. Mais Google a organisÃ© rÃ©cemment un sÃ©minaire de 2 jours Ã  lâ€™adresse de 200 acheteurs des services fÃ©dÃ©raux. Et les liens sont parfois plus profond quâ€™on ne le croit : par exemple, Google Earth est Ã  la base un logiciel rachetÃ© en 2004 par Google mais dÃ©veloppÃ© initialement par Keyhole, financÃ© par In- Q-Tel, un fond crÃ©e par la CIA. Google est un acteur intÃ©ressant. En mÃ©langeant techniques de recherche de lâ€™information tant sur le net que sur le PC (via lâ€™installation de Google Desktop), Google pourrait devenir un jour un auxiliaire prÃ©cieux de nâ€™importe quel service de renseignement. Si vous avez installÃ© Google Desktop sur votre PC, qui vous interdit de penser quâ€™un jour, un des ingÃ©nieurs de Google, agissant Ã  lâ€™insu de Google, ne pourra installer un backdoor, un logiciel espion qui lui permettra de rÃ©cupÃ©rer des informations sensibles sur votre PC ? Il suffirait dâ€™ailleurs que Google soit forcÃ© dâ€™embaucher des ingÃ©nieurs informaticiens sur recommandation de lâ€™un de ses clients gouvernementaux, et nâ€™y regarde pas tropâ€¦. Seulement, quel client gouvernemental ? Google essaie de jouer sur les deux tableaux : Ã  la fois le MinistÃ¨re de la SÃ©curitÃ© dâ€™Etat Chinois, le Guoanbu ; et en mÃªme temps nos propres agences de renseignements. Le gagnant ? Probablement le plus offrant.
