This is why there's a thick layer of clueless tech support representatives most places. Being an all volunteer, non profit organization, running on peanuts, CentOS doesn't have that luxury. Reading over that e-mail exchange, it looks like the CentOS team could really use some help with communications themselves. If I was an angry and under-educated city manager, I'd have been even more pissed off with the first reply. If the CentOS team had provided a more diplomatic, and perhaps even more technical, response then the issue might have been quickly resolved. Wow.
