And you have DEFINATELY never had to dispatch an emergency call before. And I guarantee you, that if something were to happen to you or a family member, you wouldn't even hesitate to dial 911. There is nothing more stressful than the though that someone's life is in your hands. Imagine having that feeling every time the phone rings! I know from experience that it can get very hectic very fast in a dispatch room and there is no room for error. So, you can continue to write your columns and not worry about typos, but in my world, a typo could mean someones life. Think about that before you start "knocking" dispatchers!
