Bad cop, no donut

The antics of the police are usually tragic, but sometimes, the stupidity that law enforcement officers exhibit is entirely funny. Here are two examples.

Sorry there wasn’t more; it was a fairly slow news week.

  • Federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives interrupted a Wesley Foundation pirate vs. ninja event on the University of Georgia campus when they drew their guns and forcibly detained one of the ninjas who was running across campus. The pirates were left unmolested.
  • Police in Oklahoma City, Okla., raided a house on suspicion of drug activity, but only after a seven-hour standoff in which they repeatedly tried to get the people inside to cooperate. When they finally went in, they discovered nobody was home.
