Has anybody seen Jimmy Hoffa?

May 17, 2006 @ 4 Comments

The Federal Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant at a horse farm in Milford Township, Mich., on Wednesday, apparently looking for Jimmy Hoffa.

Hoffa, former president of the Teamsters Union, had numerous ties to the Mafia. He was convicted of attempting to bribe a grand juror in 1967. President Richard Nixon commuted his sentence, and he was released from prison in 1971. He disappeared on July 30, 1975.

Investigators are looking for “evidence of criminal activity that may have occurred under previous ownership” on the property, [FBI spokeswoman Dawn] Clenney said. . . .

Yes, over 30 years later, they’re still looking for him. According to the AP, investigators have dug up a 10 foot by 15 foot section of the farm, but so far, nothing. Apparently the FBI plans to dig up three more sections of the farm as well.

A federal law enforcement official speaking under anonymity told CNN the search is for Hoffa’s body.

And maybe when they’re done, they can go find out what really happened to Elvis.
