The National Libertarian Party unveiled a redesigned web site Sunday, and as part of the redesign it’s offering what it calls its “Politician Removal Service.”
“When our nation was founded, it was governed by true American leaders,” says Libertarian Party chairman Michael Dixon in the web ad (Flash). “Unfortunately over the years our government has been overrun by politicians, pesky individuals who will do anything and say anything to get elected to office, and once there, all they do is scurry around and chew at the fabric of our nation, betraying you and other voters across the country.”
“To deal with your politician problems, the Libertarian Party offers a free Politician Removal Service. With our vote, we’ll remove your politician and release him into the wild unharmed,” the ad continues. “We’ll also replace your politician with a Libertarian leader, a statesman who will uphold a promise of smaller government, fewer taxes and more freedom.”
Founded in 1971, the Libertarian Party is the third largest political party in the United States. Libertarian political principles call for government to remain out of the business affairs, as well as the personal affairs, of the people, to the greatest extent possible.
