I live in the midwest and have COMCAST Cable as my provider.
When i bring up a command prompt in windows or a root shell in Linux–do some netstat or traceroutes it seems that no matter where i trace to my traffic ALLWAYS goes through some AT&T routers and switches.

I have tried sevral internet sites from around the world.
9/10th’s of the time AT&T is in the hops somewhere.

Am wondering if i should start subscibing to Ghost surf or something to fully encrypt my internet connection.

Is AT&T intercepting all packets from all providers,have called some friends in different states in the US and they have the same results on their internet conections yet 3 of them have different ISP’S..

Dear Sir/Madam:

I read your report on the secret room at AT & T and just to let you
know that during the 1990’s, while I was in University I worked at
the GE headquarters in Mississauga Ontario as a security guard over
the weekend. Anyway, the patrol was 2 hours and I remember a specific
area of the place where we were told not to speak to anyone going in
this place. This secret room had a retina scan has well and we were
told not to speak to anyone or say anything to the people working in
this area. The place was definitely off limits and the other guard
at the time told me it’s a US Canadian government project.

But this is not new… plus GE does have advanced technology in
robotics. Just thought of letting you know.

the at&t spot you are referring to on 10th and 53/54, is the at&t switching center it was built originally for ny telephones tele-equipment..

Could just be a CO (central office).

All telecom companies have unusual looking buildings. They’re designed to withstand most natural occurrences.

Not that AT&T isn’t in cohoots w/ NSA, just saying, there’s lots of nondescript buildings w/ no windows all over the place. Heck, I work in one.

There is a very interesting ATT building in new York on 10th avenue, between 53rd and 54th street. it has no windows. it’s right nest to a verizon service station and they recently installed some major ventilation.
