Princess?

The only reason we haven't had another terrorist attack is because they are still using the first one to take away our freedoms. When they run out of reasons to take away our freedoms and want to move to the next level there will be another terrorist attack. Maybe even more than one. Then they'll have check points for you to go through in your car in various parts of the country. The Patriot Act wasn't written on September 12th. Think about it.

There are A LOT of reasons for a new investigation into what led up to 911 to be re-opened and there are a LOT of people in this country that know we were lied to about everything including a former congressman from PA named Curt Wendell who lost his seat in the house when he started talking about the lies of the 911 commission too loudly.

The FBI knew we were going to be attacked, the Army (Operation Able Danger) knew we were going to be attacked and what did the government do. NOTHING!

Our government hasn't told us the truth about anything important in almost 100 years and they were probably lying before that. They can't be trusted.

The TSA and Homeland Security aren't necessary. They are an insult to our intelligence.

I never in my wildest nightmares would have thought that this country would be as far down the road to dictatorship as it is in my lifetime.

The TSA is a joke. The TSA is evil and so is Homeland Insecurity. It never should have been established. It's a waste of borrowed money. Who are we borrowing from for this anyway? China? We're bankrupt.

The airlines should be handling their own security. They would do much better than the government. All that needed to be done was to build impenetrable cockpits and put armed sky marshals on every flight. But no. The government found an oportunity to enslave us further and further dehumanize us.

Allowing those citizens and retired police officers with concealed carry permits to carry on every flight is another no brainer. Only those ignorant on the subject of firearms would say that is a dumb idea.

Instead, the government took the opportunity and the scare tactic of the phony war on terror to spend billions on another worthless agency so worthless jobs can be created for those that want the free ride with government benefits that we in the private sector don't have and will pay for until we die.

Now they can capitalize on their new agency by saying further invasion's of privacy are for our safety. Groping little girls and getting nude scans of the public is for our safety. Stealing property on a whim is for our safety. Having a government sponsored peep show booth is for our safety. Every dictatorship has done it and so is ours. Condition the slaves to accept the fact that they aren't human. Just slaves that have to do what the government tells them to do. Just let them THINK they are free.

I was just recently forced to fly against my will or lose my job. After what I saw they can fire me next time and I will sue for being put into a position where I have my 4th and 5th ammendment rides violated with impunity by a corrupt, tyrannical federal government that flat SUCKS and doesn't obey the law.

Further more, as usual, the government is lying. The levels of radiation those scanners put are possibly 9 to 10 times the level they say it is. Secondly, those scanners won't stop terrorists from getting on with explosives anyway. I won't go into details since our government thinks American's are the terrorists and I'd hate for the secret police to show up asking why I was listening to Jerome Corsi in an interview the other night.

Just a thought but maybe it would be a good idea to not let foreigners from the middle east fly over here. How about closing the borders and NOT giving out visa's to certain countries so their terrorists can learn chemical engineering and how to fly planes here in the states. Oh, silly me! We couldn't do that could we? That would be "discrimination". Or worse, "Racism". It might even upset the "global economy" which is another joke that is destroying this country. We don't need it either.

I have no doubt that since they have their cancer causing naked body scanners in place every pervert and pedophile in America will be lined up for a job with the TSA especially since we now know they allow the stripping down of 16 year old girls in back rooms and they are data basing the pictures for late night entertainment at home. But of course. Those pictures are under lock and key. The government NEVER loses a laptop.

I guess they can just pick out whoever is the best looking and haul them off to a back room for some body cavity searches and some groping. Maybe some good kinky sex if they can scare the victim into giving it up. Are rape rooms next if you argue with them? Or maybe just a good beating or a few years in jail with "Bubba". How about a big fine. Hitler is giggling to himself in his grave right about now. I would suspect. After all, these are all ideas HE pioneered. The government has just gone high tech. If only Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini had the technology that we have today. Well, it's obvious, they would be doing what our government is doing to us right now.

I can only assume that since the government is so politically correct gay homosexuals will be lining up for those jobs as well. It'll be like a perverted government peep show in those back rooms and since only us, the unwashed have to take random drug tests while federal employees don't we can safely assume the druggies will want those jobs as well. They can do drugs, get a thrill and GET PAID by the government union at the same time. What a DEAL!

That's the last time the Politburo on the Potomac herds me through an airport like a jew in 1930's Germany on the way to work camp. They can kiss my ass. If I had my way everyone in the country would refuse to fly until the TSA is done away with.

How can ANYONE be stupid enough to NOT see where all this, and what they have already done to us over the last 100 years is headed? I guess I'm just paranoid. Silly me.

[[For the love of God. For all of you who keep complaining and whining]]

Yeah, yeah. How dare anyone complain about nazi tactics and a complete erosion of the 4thAM. Don't we know how good we have it that our government takes away our rights before those pesky ferriners with messiah complexes do it first?

[[has a plane gone into another building or aimed head first into a vacant field?]]

Nope. But it's not because of anything you've done. Of the billions of passengers flying through US airspace since 9-11, two have attempted air sabotage. TSA figured in zero of them. Passengers themselves disrupted both - which means that the general public is better at doing your job than you are.

Of the billions of items siezed at the 4thAM-free stations in US airports, zero can legitimately claimed to be a part of plot to commit air sabotage. Even the "weapons". Forgetful passengers? Sure. Ignorant passengers? Probably. Nefariously-intended passengers? Nope.

Of the test bombs FBI agents try to get through your checkpoints, the majority are undetected. You're too busy culling "too much" baby formula and shampoo from the free citizens in a free country to be bothered by such trivialities.

[[Try being a TSO for a day…I dare you to take the abuse they take and still keep a smile on your face while some twit is whining and complaining why they have to give up their Starbucks.]]

I couldn't be a TSO. I've actually read the Constitution and realize that I wouldn't be allowed to do what I'd been told to do.

On top of that, the abuse the gestapo gets is nothing compared to the abuse they dish out.

Starbucks cannot rationally be described as a bomb component. And because the idiotic "3-1-1" nonsense is based upon the CONTAINER and not the CONTENT, once you explain how an inherently unstable explosive device can be carried around in liquid form in an unsealed polystyrene cup, or be transferred to same before detonation, then you can take it away.

[[Look, TSO’s don’t write the rule, they only follow them.]]

That's your problem; engage your brain.

But interestingly, the guards at Treblinka and Auschwitz said the same thing at their trials at Nuremburg. They were still hung.

[[If you don’t like the fact you have to give up your liquids, empty your pockets and feel like you’re on a cattle call…then stay home.]]

Great. If we don't wish to give up our right to be free from warrantless search, then we have to give up our right to travel freely. False dichotomy.

"Oh, but traveling isn't a right!! It's a privilege!"

Horse hockey. "Liberty" is essential freedom. To move, to marry, to take a job ... to NOT take a job. None of those are mentioned in the Constitution, but all exist under "liberty".

I find it callously dishonest for folks who keep spouting this "not a right; privilege" gibberish to follow on that with their perpetual claim that the 4thAM applies only to criminal rights. Only those suspected of crimes have to get the probable cause warrant - as if everybody else is fair game.

In other words, suspected criminals are entitled to better treatment by the government than those who are 99.9999% nothing more than law-abiding citizens just trying to get through their day.

If you can't spot the insupportable lack of legal and moral justification in that notion, then you should probably get your ass to Iran or NoKo; you'd fit right in.

[[we, on occasion, have to put up with stuff we don’t like.]]

And we, every time we go to the airport, have to put up with being suspected of terrorism until we prove, through non-constitutional methods, we aren't; of being bossed around by largely uneducated dimwits who use a badge as an excuse for bullying; and, the intemperance of having every indignity and damage to ourselves or property be ignored.

[[First, give us TSOs a little bit of credit.]]

Um ... you first.

I don't blame the TSA agents themselves (except of course the one's who are rude and/or have let the power get to their heads), the new rules are STUPID. Especially the one about toothpaste, hair gel and deoderant. I mean come on, they can put you through that puff blower contraption and know if you've been making bombs, but they can't run your tube of toothpaste through a machine to tell if it's an explosive?

It's absolutely ridiculous and stupid to be confiscating all these toiletry products when they should be using their resources much more effectively in other ways.

The problem is nobody in power has the balls to nix that rule. What if they nix it and somebody actually DOES blow up a plane with some hair gel or a Disney Princess Shimering Lights Ariel Doll(sp)? The public (us) will go crazy and demand that person's head. Personally, I wouldn't because I'd be happy that someone was bold enough to say let's take our chances, but I've seen how the rest of the public (everybody except me) reacts to things like this.

I travel a lot, and my 6 oz tube of toothpaste usually makes it through security. This last time I traveled, I had a little bottle opener and it had a very small knife (kind of swiss army-ish, but not much of a knife at all). The knife made it through, but my toothpaste didn't. I couldn't believe it. The whole time I was worried the bottle opener wouldn't make it through because I had just bought it and kind of liked it. I didn't even realize it had a small knife when I bought it, but nevertheless, I was worried. And lo and behold, I lose my toothpaste in the name of improved safety, and get to keep my knife.

Bottom line is if the TSA's rules let a knife through but not my toothpaste, we are in BIG, BIG trouble. What's that thing they say about the lunatics running the asylum? Well, that applies here. And I hope somebody can grow a pair and change some of these rules that don't increase security, but only increase wait times.

Well, that applies here. And I hope somebody can grow a pair and change some of these rules that don’t increase security, but only increase wait times.

Talk about whining! You, Mr. or Ms. TSA, are the one who applied for your job. I didn't force you to take it. Now, go back to hassling travelers.

About the shoes, this is just plain stupidity. I read on the Dept of Homeland Fear site that this "removing of shoes" requirement began in 2006 after the "fear" level went to Orange. This was years after that one bozo tried to blow up his Nikes on a plane, but couldn't flick his Bic. Even if he set them off, all experts agree that there might have been some damage to the plane, but it wouldn't have caused a crash.

I was pulled aside in Halifax Canada by US authorities prior to boarding a flight for a thorough search. Beats me why. It's a good thing I wasn't traveling with Senator Kennedy who was on the TSA's no-fly list (!!!), or it might have been worse (he was stopped and questioned by the Airport Fear Factor agents 5 times in March 2004).

I have Allen Edmunds shoes Made In America that are guaranteed not to set off any alarm. They're dress shoes with typically thin soles, and the only possible offensive weapon a terrorist could fit into them are 3-day-worn smelly socks. I was screamed at in Mobile AL when I told them they were airport-friendly shoes.

This is simply another way for the Department of Scare Mongering to keep you looking under your bed for Osama, and potentially re-electing Mr. Bush's Republican Fear friends.

For the love of God. For all of you who keep complaining and whining....has a plane gone into another building or aimed head first into a vacant field? Our employees are not perfect, but then again neither are employees in any other organization, agency, or department that deals with human beings. Try being a TSO for a day...I dare you to take the abuse they take and still keep a smile on your face while some twit is whining and complaining why they have to give up their Starbucks. Look, TSO's don't write the rule, they only follow them. If you don't like the fact you have to give up your liquids, empty your pockets and feel like you're on a cattle call...then stay home. Try going to DMV, your local hardware store, the emergency room or any other place where other human beings exist and try to feel that you are special. Sorry to be the one to dim the lights, but you are not a princess...we, on occasion, have to put up with stuff we don't like. But, seriously, before you complaint about what TSO's do, I recommend you apply and become one. And a special note to Kim....princess go back home to la la land. I truly will give up some tax dollars to have you stay home.

Does anyone know why we have to take off our shoes or have the body wand and frisking done? I thought the detectors you walk through could tell if you had metal in your shoes or on your person. I find no logic in people taking off rubber thongs and going barefoot-bacteria,fugus,virus skin infections. They even wand your feet without your shoes. It makes no since. I have foot problems so I wear custom orthotics and lace up shoes most of the time. I have to choose the humilating process of the frisking with many onlookers as it is difficult to remove my shoes while standing in a moving line. Seating is never provided unless you refuse to take off your shoes. I was waiting for a sale to start a few years ago, when I started to talk with a man who had resently retired from the state department. His comment about the airport changes was that the enemy had already won as they had caused permenant changes in how we live and effected some of our freedoms.

I'm at Ft. Lauderdale airport. Go through Security. TSO "wands" me, wands me again, wands me again. Nothing in pockets, etc. He then asks to feel me crotch. No thank you. Since I said no, he then demands that I go to their "room" off to the side.
Go in room ready for stupidity. Women TSO in office eating lunch. Male TSO demands that I take my clothes off while he is putting on a rubber glove. I'm pretty open minded but I was not going to allow this to happen. TSO calls police. They threaten me with arrest. Go for it dude. You aren't feeling up my ass unless you have a court order or unless the female TSO doesthe search. He didn't think funny when I asked if he collects the used gloves. I think airport police have seen too much stupidity and told me to leave without taking my clothes off.

I think that there probably are some awful people out there, butI also figure that they get so many instructions changing all the time that they can't be consistant. Certainly acting like a horse's ass won't make them treat you better (Kim). The system doesn't make it easy for TSA staff to be the perkiest, most client centered staff out there. That being said, I've seen TSA people try to force an old lady who could not walk to get out of her wheelchair and "walk" through the metal detector. Only threats of a riot from the passengers watching put a stop to that. What was going through their minds?
