I just received a W-2 from my former employer and my social security number is showing through the window in the envelope. It has my name, address and social. The only thing missing was my date of birth. I was wondering if there is anything I can do? I mean with regards to getting the company in trouble. I know there are laws against this and I haven't opened the envelope. I kept it sealed just in case I will need it for proof. Please if anyone has any ideas or information to pass on I would really really appreciate it.
