Though there’s plenty of news to report, nothing new will be posted to Homeland Stupidity for the next few days, since I am moving.
As many of you know, I joined the Free State Project and signed the First 1000 pledge to move to New Hampshire to work toward greater liberty in our lifetimes.
Now the time for me to move has come. Everything is packed and for the next two or three days I will be on the road. I hope to arrive in New Hampshire on Saturday. And I hope some of you will consider joining us in our fight for freedom.
But, you say, it’s hopeless. The government’s too big and too out of control. Nonsense! Free Staters are already achieving victories, at the local, state and even national levels, some of which I’ve covered here before. I’ll post more about some of this week’s New Hampshire victories after I get settled this weekend.
In the meantime, though, there’s plenty of news I haven’t had a chance to get to, simply because I’ve been too busy packing. So I’m turning over the floor to you.
Have you seen a government agency doing something stupid? Let’s hear about it. I’ll rejoin you all this weekend.

Michael;
Best of luck with your move. I think the movement is a great idea and I wish it well.

Which town in NH have you decided on?

I still don’t understand the choice of New Hampshire, but I wish you well. I hope you are successful.

Michael, I’d be interested in getting your impressions as a Free State immigrant. I edit New Hampshire Magazine. We don’t devote a lot of space to politics, but I’m always looking for commentators on the scene who have a sense of humor. -Rick

Jerry, come visit NH, and you’ll quickly understand why Michael’s moving here, and been chomping at the bit to move since he made up his mind.

Great. A totalitarian calling himself is moving to New Hampshire. Good enough reason to believe that this whole FSP joke is, well, a joke.

A totalitarian? I don’t think I’ve ever seen Michael suggest government do anything, at least not since he decided to move to NH (and seemed to radicalize a bit).

Michael wisely chose Keene, NH for his home.

Of course it’s a joke… move along people, there’s no way a band of committed people can possibly make a difference in the world. Please, remain in your current locations. Wear your seatbelts and helmets. Accept your National ID cards.
Michael, I look forward to your presence and influence on many amusing jokes and fun activities here in New Hampshire.

I’ve chosen, for the present time, to live in Manchester.
As for the “totalitarian” comment, I have no idea what that’s about.

It was those Manchester people and their parties that lured you away, wasn’t it?
Michael Hampton

Yep, it was the parties.
On the other hand, I hope to convince some of the people out here that tilting at windmills isn’t entirely useless. :)

Michael,
Congratulations on the move. I envy you…for now.
I’ll follow the “Manchester” link and see what you have there.
Have a great day.
Jeff
Aside to disinter:
What the hell are you talking about? Any chance you can enlighten us?

Michael, I clicked on your link at the COAST TO COAST AM website…..and WOW!!!!!!!
was I pleasantly surprised to see you moving to NH-and as a FSP’er!!!
I too, would perhaps like to move to NH, and I have been thinking about it for quite some time!
I actually had my two kids and wife convinced years ago, but it was difficult to garner the money, and find new employment there at the same time!!
I love the geography and topogarphy of the area, and the minds of those past and present!
I feel that NH is probably where I should be, and perhaps I might move there in the future-!!!
I found out about the FREE STATE PROJECT- and I applaud their efforts!
I wish you well, in your new home, and maybe we shall met there together sometime soon!!!
In Truth-
An American
