When people get into bed with you who would normally kick you out — you sleep with them and hope that you can talk some sense into them while the fun is being had. If it doesn’t work out…well…when the fun is over, you kick them out until the next opportunity for collaboration and enlightenment arises. Case in point: the Left and the Right worked together to kill the Bush-and-other-morons immigration whatever-it-was-they-had-up-their-sleeve bill. I assume there were a couple converts on both sides, but the Left and Right are once again separate and distinct until the next common enemy arises.

Since the ACLU has always claimed their sole purpose is to defend the Bill of Rights it is about time they paid notice to the one they have so long chosed to rewrite! This may be a good oportunity to explain the real facts about gun ownership to this group, always considered to be on the opposite side of reality.
