PorcFest 2008 wrap-up

June 16, 2008 @ Michael Hampton3 Comments

If you missed the fifth annual Porcupine Freedom Festival in Gilford, N.H., last week, make plans now to attend the next one.

At the week-long festival, held at Gunstock Mountain Resort, freedom lovers from all over the country came to meet each other and have some fun in one of the state’s largest campgrounds. Some 500 people enjoyed outdoor concerts, vendors, panel discussions, speeches, and of course, socializing and networking with other freedom lovers and activists in the state of New Hampshire who are already working toward increasing liberty and rolling back the state.

Among the fun you missed was the so-called “fun tent” sponsored by Jason Osborne of Sakal/CAI who provided beer and mixed drinks in the middle of the campground during the entire week.

And there were more vendors than ever this year. I talked to a few of them in this short video.

I also have an extensive video of the various speeches made at PorcFest but have been unable to upload it so far. I’ll post an update when I’m able to get this posted online.

If you are serious about obtaining freedom, consider joining the Free State Project and moving to New Hampshire, where liberty is actually an attainable goal.

heya Michael, great to finally get eyeball to eyeball with ya – though we seemed to have lost you during most of the Fest! the Murphy’s meetup was definitely a good idea. Kevin and i had a great time and were definitely made to feel right at home.

thanks also for all the great documentation of the event, good stuff. still looking for a copy of the group pic we took at the end, didn’t see it on the FSP site, know where one can be found?

    love, Porc28.

    “provided beer and mixed drinks”

That really does sound like a fun tent.
