Comments on: Do Americans Approve Mass Murder? Government is stupid. Discover a better way to organize society. Nothing to do with Al Qaeda.”

When I tweeted this, I was reflecting deeply then of what I would do if a US drone strike kills, collaterally or otherwise, my 2 little girls.

Some may say that as a lawyer, I could avail myself of legal avenues for redress from the US govt. But this is likely to be futile – the fact is, when one view’s US actions from Yemen, it’s the US that is increasingly lawless. And speaking law with the lawless is destined to be an exercise in futility.

In any case, when I imagine my 2 daughters blown up to pieces by an American Hellfire missile, it’s somewhat of a challenge to remain civilized & rational. There really is only one thing to do – I will seek justice. It may be that I seek vengeance against the Al Qaeda idiots who were the causa causans of US drones being in Yemen in the 1st place. But by the same token, I may just choose to go after America, as the immediate cause of their death. And I would not care who helps me in this quest – it could be Al Qaeda, or it could be Fidel Castro himself.

The new danger in this scenario is that it is definitely going to be just as lawless, or even more lawless, as America & Al Qaeda have been in their bid to destroy each other. To me this, this in fact is the biggest failure of the US government – in their war against Al Qaeda & terrorism, the American government is well on the way to becoming the very terrorists that they seek to destroy.

Final point : my views are not an inherently “Yemeni” or “tribal” response. Although Yemeni, I grew up in Singapore & only came to live in Yemen in 2008.

Sound article – I hope your fellow Americans take heed. And quoting my tweet to Obama, class act. :-)

It’s even questionable whether the drone strikes are even legal …

Even if the War Criminal in Chief and all the little War Criminals in congress say that asassinations of ‘suspects’ … and anyone else close by … is ‘legal’, that don’t make it so. Not even close to so.

Ours is a rogue government, making up ‘laws’ to suit the fancy of the Wehrmacht, now fighting with Wall Street over the bones of America.

The polls just show that as a people we’re geldings. Buckled-up, safe and sound, for the flight into the ground.
