Bush replaces Greenspan with Ben Bernanke

I let you know a few weeks ago that this appointment was upcoming. Continuing an unbroken string of cronyism, President George W. Bush has named his chief economic adviser, Ben Bernanke, to head the Federal Reserve, when Alan Greenspan retires in January.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, with state, local and Coast Guard assistance, spent the day at the All-Star Game. But instead of being inside watching the game and the crowd, they were outside busting street vendors who were selling knock-off hats and jerseys.

The limits of human rights

I rarely use the words liberal or conservative, trying to take people on their own merits or lack thereof. But I have wondered, why do so many people who claim to be on the "left" support the big corporations over the person just trying to get by, or just trying to live in peace?
