« ISCA BBS Client : Documentation
The ISCA BBS Client allows you to change the colors used for posts, express messages, and other BBS information, and gives some additional options relating to color. These options are in the client configuration <C>olor menu.
By selecting the <O>ptions menu from the color menu, you can set up color options. Currently there are two options:
By selecting the <P>osts menu from the color menu, you can set up colors in which posts will appear. You can set up a different color scheme for posts made by your friends as opposed to ordinary users. You will first be asked to choose which of these you want to set up. Choose <U>ser or <F>riend.
The next thing you will see is an example post. Choose <D>ate to choose the color for the date and time stamp, <N>ame to choose the color in which the author’s name appears, and <T>ext to choose the color for the text of the message.
Once you have set up colors, all posts you read will appear in the colors you selected. For Mail> messages, the color scheme is determined by the author of the Mail> message. If your Mail> is from a friend, it will appear with the friend scheme; if it is from anyone else, it will appear with the user scheme.
By selecting the <X>press menu from the color menu, you can set up colors in which express messages will appear. You can set up a different color scheme for express messages made by your friends as opposed to ordinary users. You will first be asked to choose which of these you want to set up. Choose <U>ser or <F>riend.
The next thing you will see is an example express message. Choose <N>ame to choose the color in which the author’s name appears, and <T>ext to choose the color for the text of the message.
Once you have set up colors, all express messages will appear in the colors you selected.
By selecting the <G>eneral menu from the color menu, you can set up colors for BBS-wide prompts and messages.
Choose <B>ackground to set the background color. Choose a listed color, or choose <D>efault, and the default color for your terminal will be used. Default is the option you should use if you have a “transparent” terminal.
Choose <E>rror to set the color in which error and warning messages are displayed, <F>orum to set the color in which forum names are displayed, <N>umber to set the color in which numbers and messages are displayed, and <T>ext to set the color in which general text is displayed.
By selecting the <I>nput menu from the color menu, you can set the colors in which your own input is displayed. This includes posts, express messages, forum names, etc.
Choose <T>ext to set the text color, or choose <C>ompletion to set the color in which automatically completed text is displayed.
If you select the <R>eset colors option from the color menu, you can erase all color settings and start over with the default colors. This is useful if you create a color scheme you don’t like and wish to start over.
